Iris Kyle wins the 2012 Ms. Olympia title, matching Lenda Murray's record of eight Olympia Titles. Are these women the greatest female bodybuilders of all time? If Iris Kyle wins a 9th title, will this make her the greatest ever? Is there something else that we need to consider when we decide who the greatest is? Or is the title of greatest reserved for another competitor.
When it comes to the Olympia which is the cream of the bodybuilding crop;
- Iris has won 7 straight titles while Lenda has won 6 straight.
- Lenda Murray has tasted defeat only 3 times while Iris has lost 6 times. Therefore Iris competed a lot more times to win her 8 titles.
- Iris Kyle has beaten Lenda Murray once while Lenda has beaten her twice.
- Lenda came out of retirement to win her last 2 titles while Iris has not stopped competing since 1999.
They are two stunning women, both legends of the sport, should we be thinking of one as greater than the other. Or is that title of greatest reserved for Cory Everson who has never lost?
